Inspire responds to new Early Years strategy

'Working Together to Give Every Child The Best Start in Life' signals a new joined-up approach.

Rob Carpenter, CEO of the Inspire Partnership and RISE advisor with responsibility for leading on the Reception strand of the Universal Service in London, highlights two significant changes in policy direction and comments on the importance of the new initiatives.

He says, "As a primary headteacher for over 22 years, I learnt quickly that when we got it right for our youngest children, we got it right for all. If my Reception age pupils achieved a great start with good GLD outcomes, we knew this would set them up for the rest of their education.”
