The Inspire Partnership is very proud to share that Woodhill Primary School is now a Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Flagship school!
According the organisers at IQM, only around 100 UK schools have achieved IQM Flagship School status. This award recognises those unique schools who have held IQM Centre of Excellence status for at least 3 years; and played a strong leadership role in developing inclusion best practice across a network of schools. These schools are committed to extending their networks further and publishing classroom-based research on an annual basis. Find out more about IQM here.
Aimi Vdovin, Inspire Partnership’s Regional Education Leader and Headteacher at Woodhill Primary School addresses the school community for their hard work and commitment to achieving this status:
“This is thanks to every single one of you and your unwavering commitment to ensuring that our children receive the best, inclusive education. It is not always easy to work in a school that puts inclusion at the heart but we know that it is so rewarding and makes such a difference to so many families’ lives. The impact of your work can be seen each day in children who are happy and thriving. Woodhill is a place where every child is valued and barriers are overcome, no matter what they are.”
This status now means that Woodhill Primary school will be developing a school based research project to build on the already excellent inclusive practice going on in school. The focus of this project will be around equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). We look forward to sharing more on the progress of this over the next few months.
