Forest Academy named Behaviour and Attendance Hub
Inspire Partnership’s Forest Academy has been appointed a Behaviour and Attendance Hub.
The Department for Education has named the first 21 of 90 schools that will be Behaviour and Attendance Hubs to support schools that have significant issues in these two areas.
Following the school’s success as an Attendance Hub in recent years, Inspire Partnership’s Forest Academy has been named in the first wave.
As the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, said, “...we’re investing in proven expertise so that schools facing the biggest challenges can get the support they need.”
Despite serving a community with high levels of disadvantage and a significant proportion of pupils eligible for the Pupil Premium, Forest Academy continues to shine, with excellent attendance and behaviour, built on strong, values-led leadership and a deep commitment to working in partnership with families.
The school’s success is recognised by this appointment as a new Behaviour and Attendance Hub and the team at the school is excited to continue to share best practice to provide support to other schools where it’s needed.
Swabra Lloyd, Headteacher at Forest Academy, said, “Our work to improve and maintain good levels of behaviour and attendance has many parts to it, but it starts with building relationships and fostering a culture of belonging. Through this new role, we will further amplify our efforts, sharing best practices and supporting schools that face similar challenges.”
