Happy 50th birthday Maundene Primary!

Maundene Primary School celebrated its 50th birthday on Friday 19th September 2025.
The day began with a special birthday assembly where the school community gathered to sing Happy Birthday and Headteacher Miss Capes and Deputy Headteacher Mrs Jackson blew out the candles on a specially-decorated birthday cake.
Throughout the day, children were given the opportunity to delve into the school’s past, exploring old school admission and punishment books, offering a fascinating glimpse into what school life was like decades ago.
At lunchtime, the school gathered on the field for a whole-school picnic, along with music, games and a special aerial photo opportunity (see above).
Each child received a piece of the birthday cake and was presented with a commemorative 50th birthday Maundene pin to remember the special day.
Headteacher Joanne Capes said, “It was a fitting end to a day that not only celebrated the school's past but also looked forward to its bright future. Here's to another 50 years of learning, growth and community at Maundene Primary!”
